Landscaping is hard work

We have been doing a lot of work on the yard lately.  It started during that week of beautiful weather in April, continued during vacation and now this past week or so we have been in high gear.  Our side yard was choked out with forsythia, Japanese knot weed, poison ivy and downed trees.  You literally could not see the ground.  Over the past 3 years we have been pulling things out and since we finally got most of it removed, we went ahead and hired some landscapers to pull of the roots, stumps and poison ivy.

Here's the blank slate we were left with after all that work.

After some landscaping fabric and the first load of wood chips.

Filled in more with the second load of woodchips.

We still need another load of chips and some dirt, then it's time to plant!
